Getting your magnetic levitating moon lamp to float perfectly comes down to a few simple placement techniques — here's exactly how to set it up and position it correctly.

Setup

Place the square base on a flat, stable surface and make sure it sits securely. Plug in the DC power adapter and confirm the connection is firm. Keep iron or other magnetic objects away from the base — they can interfere with the magnetic field.

Positioning the Moon Lamp

Orient the moon lamp with its velvet-lined side facing down, then hold it gently with both hands — avoid gripping too tightly. Center it above the base and lower it slowly and vertically until you feel the magnetic pull take hold. If it doesn't stabilize right away, adjust its position patiently until you find the balance point.

Operation

Once levitating, simply touch the switch on the base to cycle through lighting colors: warm white for a soft, cozy feel, warm yellow for a warmer ambiance, and white for bright clarity. Touch the switch again to turn it off — the whole process is effortless.

A Few Tips

If the lamp gets pulled toward the base during setup, don't let go abruptly — this can cause scratches. Re-center it over the base and try again; a few attempts will usually reveal the sweet spot.
